Career Fulfillment

What do you want from your career?  Are you happy at work?  How are you managing your our talent?

At Eden Park, we believe that everyone can be happy at work.  Happiness can mean different things to different people.  For many, it begins with a sense of enjoyment, fulfillment, and well-being in what you do.  We believe that being happy at work begins by aligning career interests, strengths, and personal values with job choice (fit) and ongoing career objectives.

What We Do

We offer career coaching and planning.  We help people who want to focus on managing their careers proactively.  We help people think about how they are managing their own talent.  We work with people who are at all points along their career journey: career changes, career transitions, career choices.  We’ve experienced each of these, so, we know what you’re going through.

Eden Park Approach

At Eden Park, our approach is based on practical experience and current academic research in the field of career development.  We look at your career holistically.  We look at your career as well as you the person – your personal goals and dreams.  In our process, we utilize assessments to complement the career coaching process.  These assessments provide key insights about where you are in the career landscape.  This gives you a well grounded perspective in order to make thoughtful career decisions.

We begin our program with the Strong Interest Inventory®, the world’s leading career assessment.  The Strong was originally developed by Dr. Edward Strong, Professor of Psychology and Business Administration at Stanford University.  The Strong measures personal interests across a broad range of areas and links your interests and preferences with various occupations and work settings. The Strong is helpful for people at any stage of their career: early, middle, or late.  It becomes the starting point for career alignment, career development, and career decision making.

Eden Park Outcomes

At Eden Park, we are focused on empowerment and results.  We help people move their careers forward in a positive way.  At the end of our program, our clients have a solid plan and confidence to take their career to a new stage.  They do so with a sense of empowerment and ownership knowing that they are in control of their career future.  Many clients who come to Eden Park are at a transition point in their career.  Through our program, we help clients identify things that may be getting in the way of making fulfilling and effective career choices.  We help clients make objective career choices which are aligned with their interests, strengths, values, and goals and we help them turn their choices into action.

Let’s face it, most people spend a big part of their life at work…so why not be happy at work?

Career Changes

Some people who are looking to make a career change find these questions helpful:

  • Are you happy? Do you feel like you need a job change?
  • Are you satisfied, but feel like you're in a sub-optimal situation?
  • Do you feel like you need a new career direction?
  • Are you looking to pursue something completely different?

To people looking to make a career change we say, “It’s always a good time to consider a change; it’s never too late to take your career in a different direction.”

Career Transitions

People are in transition all the time:

  • New mandate
  • Return to work
  • Pre/post-retirement planning
  • Job loss/restructuring

To people in career transitions we say, “Transition brings opportunity. Change can be daunting and exciting all at the same time. We're here to support you in your career transition”

Career Choices

People just starting out:

  • May have a sense of what they want to do, but aren't 100% sure
  • Are in the early stages of their career and wonder if they've made the right choice

To people making early career decisions, we say, “It's OK to be unsure; it's OK to have second thoughts about your initial choice. It's OK to change your mind”

We help people make confident decisions so they can be happy and successful in whatever career they choose to pursue
